AI TM Cleaner Full TM Scan Guide

AI TM Cleaner full TM scan can review an entire translation memory at once. This guide covers scan starting points, checkpoint resumption, and continuing from the latest issues.

1. What is Full TM Scan

Full TM scan traverses translation units (TUs) in the translation memory and uses AI to review translation errors, terminology inconsistencies, and style issues. Results are categorized for review and suggestion acceptance.

2. Start Scanning

Select the target translation memory in the TM Cleaner interface and click the "Full TM Scan" button. The first scan starts from the first TU of the TM. You can see real-time progress and the number of issues found during scanning.

3. Breakpoint Resumption

If scanning is interrupted (e.g., closing Trados or network issues), reopen TM Cleaner and select the same TM. Click "Full TM Scan" to automatically resume from where it was interrupted. Previously reviewed TUs will not be scanned again.

4. Continue from Latest Issue

After reviewing and handling a batch of issue suggestions, you can choose "Continue from Latest Issue" to skip already-processed sections and resume scanning from where issues were last found. This feature is suitable for processing large TMs in batches.
